Bradlee went potty on the big girl toilet for the first time today!!! When she woke up from her nap I just decided to set her on the toilet to see what would happen, and sure enough, she went no. 1! After dinner, I decided we should try again, and she went no. 2! All this just one day before her second birthday. We are so proud of her!
I have no idea what I am doing or how this whole potty training thing works, but I guess I need to figure it out fast. Any advice?

Yahoo for poddy on the toilet! I'm a sticker chart pusher. They totally worked for Brynlie. Good luck!
Way to go Birthday Girl!! She looks so happy about it too! We gave our kids a jelly bean every time they went in the potty. Try offering Tyler a jelly bean and see if he'll still pee for you . . .
You are a fortunate mom! Good job.
Oh yay for Bradlee! I tried everything... stickers, candy, balloons, popsicles, everything. Nothing worked. I just started putting underwears on him, and told him he better not pee in them or he'd be peeing on my floor, and that would not make mommy very happy. Kenden's pretty much done now and Tate's really close.I think girls are usually easier tho. Good luck! Tell Bradlee Happy Birthday.
Yay Bradlee!!! Happy Birthday, little monster child!
Thats awesome! My sister has trained all 3 of her kids in 1 day. She will turn off all the phones make everyone leave the house except for her and the child she is potty training. All they do is play, eat and drink LOTS of treats and focus on going potty. She will play games with them based on going potty. I know it sounds crazy but it has worked for her with all 3 of the kids and she learned this trick from another friend who it worked for all of her kids too! Let me know if you want me to find out more info about it for you! Good Luck! Happy Birthday Bradlee!
Wow! way to go! I hear there is a window at two years old where potty training is an option for a little while, and then it closes up until they turn three. I would definitely take the opportunity right now, while it lasts! I waited until three years old with both my girls, and believe me, anything to avoid an extra year of changing diapers is worth it! Just make it fun and exciting and rewarding and stick to it! Chocolate chip rewards worked well for my girls. Also, Marie rebelled when I reminded her too much, but timers worked well in the beginning. Good luck!
Teach her how to wipe and wash her hands.
Prompt her often, so she gets used to the idea of recognizing the feeling and going based on it.
Never make her feel embarassed or dirty. Its human nature.
